We love to meet together.
Whether it be just a few of us or everyone in together, we think it is important to be in fellowship with one another. So what does that look like for KBC?
We get together quite regularly as well since we all tend to get along. You are welcome to come along to any of our get togethers and we would love to see you there!
10am Sunday. See the events calendar for location
Every Sunday we like to get together as one big group as much as we can. Where we meet differs, but for the most part we meet at the Kumeū Community Centre.
Our services tend to include modern worship, teaching from the bible, prayer for others, a children’s church (see below), and some time for tea, coffee and a chat.
You can check out past sermons too, to see what we are like.
We love kids!
During school term, Kumeū Kids meet after the worship and notices during our Sunday service. Our goal is to build life long followers of Christ.
Each we week our focus teaches children more about our God, his character and the Bible. We do lots of fun activities each week. We also take up a gold coin collection for Mission Without Borders Christmas Love Boxes.
There are three age groups:
- Adventure: Ages 0-5
- Explore: Ages 5-10
- Summit: Ages 10-13
As a parent you are welcome to stay with your child or head back into the service and enjoy the sermon. Our Children & Families Pastor, Bronwyn Owens is a qualified early childhood teacher and passionate about knowing each child and embracing who they are.
Kumeū Youth Group
7pm @ 278 Matua Road
Each Wednesday night during the school terms we have an awesome bunch of youth and youth leaders that meet to hang out, play some games, eat yummy food and hear more about an awesome God who loves them.
There is also lots of fun to be had with trips to Parakai pools, bonfires and combined events with other youth groups. Contact the team, for more info or check out the Kumeū Youth Facebook for details on this coming Wednesday.
Frenzy for Intermediates
Our intermediates get together for some activities, games and short devotional. The evening develops friendships and has a great sense of fun and belonging.
To us, life groups are the place you really get to know one another and support each other in their journey with Christ. We encourage you to join a group and dig deep.
We have a range of different groups running throughout the year.
Come along on Sunday to find out more and hear from the leader’s themselves about the group’s focus. Or you can get in touch with the church office for more info.
The upper room
Tuesdays 6-9am and 6-9pm @ Church Office 495 State Highway 16, Kumeū (Next to Juicy Strawberries).
We are passionate prayers and believe prayer is a strong foundation to our faith and our church. We believe we are called to come together as Peter and the disciples did in Acts 1:13-14 and pray together. The office prayer space is set up for people to come and pray anytime during the hours noted. Prayer guides are provided if needed.
We also gather with our churches on the first Sunday of the month to pray together. For more details please contact the church office.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
