Loving our neighbours

God calls us all to look beyond ourselves, and our church, and to meet the needs to those around us. Here at KBC we love serving our community and would love to have you give a helping hand too.

We have a few regular community events and some annual activities like the Light Party, Easter Camp and participating in the Christmas parade.

Check out out Facebook page for more upcoming events

Mainly Music

Mainly Music is a fun music group for parents or primary caregivers to enjoy together with their young child.

Each session develops children’s gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills as well as socializing skills. Our music session goes for 30mins and is followed by a morning tea, playtime and chat time for parents.

The cost is $4 per child or $6 per family (second child under 9 months free). Concession cards are available. Please email Katie for more details, and follow us on Facebook for our updates.

Join us on Thursday 9:30am @ Kumeū Community Centre

Norwest Care Food Bank

The Norwest Care Trust is supported by KBC and many other local churches. Foodbanks are facing an unprecedented demand for food parcels and are struggling to meet this need.

If you are in need of food assistance or in self isolation please get in touch with Norwest Care Trust directly 021 0863 3785 or  [email protected].

If you would like to financially support the foodbank and help a family in need you can make a donation here.

Messy Church

We want to make sure Jesus is accessible by everyone. So once a term we run Messy Church for parents who are new to church, or may feel unsure or uncomfortable in our normal Sunday service. It typically includes a meal, various crafts around a particular topic, and a small reading and teaching part for the children. Each Messy Church has a different focus and is run in partnership with St Chad’s church.

Keep a look out on the KBC facebook page for when the next Messy Church is.
