Our mission is to know Christ and make Him known.
This two-fold emphasis on discipleship is clearly seen in the life and ministry of Jesus our Lord.
Jesus called twelve men to faith and He discipled them. He helped them to grow into committed and sacrificial followers who would later lay down their lives for the Gospel. Jesus also empowered them to disciple others to faith and proclaim the Good News with courageous words, backed up by loving actions and Christ-like character.
Our values
1 Corinthians 14:26

Romans 8:14-16

John 13:34-35
Love starts where you are
Being a disciple
What does it mean to be a disciple? What does that look like? How can we disciple others? Here at Kumeu Baptist we look at being a disciple as four pillars:
We study the Bible and listen to the Holy Spirit and act on it. We desire to be people like Jesus and not people of this world.
As seen in John 13:15; 1 Peter 2:21; Matthew 16:24-26; John 14:23-24; Philippians 4:9
We continue to get to know Jesus through our spiritual disciplines and conversations with other believers.
As seen in 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Matthew 11:28; Ephesians 4:14-16
We extend Christ’s love through prayer, practical support and encouragement to fellow believers and the vulnerable around us.
As seen in Hebrews 10:19-25; Acts 2:42-47; 4:32-35; Ephesians 4:1-4; 1 Peter 1:22; John 14:15
We pass on our learning, developing believers into maturity and journeying with others to faith.
As seen in Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 11:1; Titus 2:1-10; 2 Timothy 2:1-2; 1 Corinthians 11:1
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
